About Vini e Cibi da Antonio
Out of love for the south: in Munich-Schwabing, Antonio D'Aversa runs his restaurant Vini e Cibi da Antonio. A stocktake covers around 350 different items – enough for counting to quickly become a burden if the system doesn’t play along.
The starting point: long counts, nothing adds up
Before BarBrain, a stocktake took around 3.5 hours. Despite the effort, the result wasn’t convincing: at the end, the numbers didn’t add up.
“Stocktaking used to be so annoying, nothing ever added up. It took far too long.”– Antonio D'Aversa, Vini e Cibi da Antonio
On top of that came arguments with staff. In the end, Antonio had to do the stocktake on his own anyway – and that time was missing for other tasks in the restaurant. Looking back, he describes this phase as a stocktaking disaster.
The rollout: counting directly in the app
With BarBrain’s digital stocktaking app, counting now happens directly in the app. That puts an end to the arguments in the team, and for Antonio the stocktake runs much faster and more relaxed than before.
The result: 1.5 hours instead of 3.5
The stocktake now takes around 1.5 hours instead of 3.5 – that’s 57% less time. That leaves Antonio around two extra hours per stocktake for the restaurant and for himself.
“So now I have time for a little glass of vino too. Salute!”– Antonio D'Aversa, Vini e Cibi da Antonio
