Mistakes during the inventory can happen, but with BarBrain they are quick and easy to fix. Here are the most common errors that can occur, along with the appropriate solutions.

1. Accidentally completed an area

Problem:

An area was accidentally completed before all products were counted. For example, you forgot to count a bottle of wine and the area was already marked as done.

Solution:

Reopen the area:

You can reopen the area at any time by selecting it in BarBrain.

There, you can simply continue counting and add the forgotten products.

Report summary:

At the end of the inventory, all areas are merged into a single report, so no data is lost.

Tip: Check every area before completing it to make sure all products have been counted.

2. Entered the wrong quantity

Problem:

Instead of the actual quantity, e.g. 2 bottles, 20 bottles were accidentally entered. This can lead to incorrect calculations in the inventory report.

Solution:

Area not yet completed:

• Select the affected product in BarBrain and correct the quantity directly.

• Save the change so the correct quantity is reflected in the report.

Area already completed:

• Open the inventory report as an Excel file.

• Find the affected product and change the quantity in the "Whole Unit" column.

• The totals and calculations in the report are adjusted automatically, making the correction immediately visible.

Tip: Note down any obvious errors straight away so you can correct them in the report right after the inventory.
